The sound is deep and rich and makes this a very nice loco to own.
I purchased one of these, and it operates very smooth, and the sound is impecable. Fantastic model.
I now have eight of these, all in D&RGW markings. Two have sound, which I found excellent, especially the horn and bell. The engine sound when ideling is really nice. I only wish QSI would allow manual notching of the throttle, like Tsunami. That would be a most desirable feature. Paint is evenly applied and for a D&RGW unit, I especially liked the gyra light in the nose. Finally, they are getting these right. It’s hard to believe how long it’s taken the manufacturers to listen to the modelers and start adding road specific details. Finally, running quality is excellent, and typically Atlas . . . very smooth, quiet and responsive. All mine are DCC, programmed with LocoBuffer II, giving me the needed engine ramping up before moving out with a load. Overall, Atlas has done a great job.

I purchased a Broadway Llimited SWT Swither and it operates very smooth .
I have 4 of these. They run great together, but faster than everything else. When coupled to my SD45’s or SD45T-2’s or GP35’s the wheels spin as they try to drag everything else around the layout.
