This is a good running locomotive but the only problem was the grab irons were not glued on just put in place

I see that this model is available in Alaska RR and so are other models from other companies, so my question is does anyone by Alaska RR models to… …replicate the AlaskaRR? Can You find anyone who has a completed or near-completed layout of a strech of Alaska RR network (I take that back Alaska is pretty much singular as the ClinchRR )

This locomotive is great and looks as good as it runs.
I have three of these locomotives that I operate in my 16 x 62 layout. Unlike the earlier genesis locomotives this is an easy locomotive to convert to DCC. This locomotive is a real work horse

I bought 3 SD70Ms in Bloody Nose, Speed Lettered ESPEE and 3 SD75Ms in Santa Fe, I use them in 3 engine consists pulling 50 5 bay discharge hopper coal cars on my 20 by 26 continous loop layout. These engines are sharply painted and lettered, legible through workglasses. Unbelievable pulling power, since my layout is zero grade, one engine can handle 50 cars at scale track speed of 50mph. These engines run strong if provided a break-in period from no load to load. I have adopted this procedure and the results produce sound results. The accurate difference between SD75 for Santa Fe and SD70m for other roads is accurate. Easy to convert to Kadee couplers as well. Athearn has hit a home run. I recommend this equipment

I model the Alaska Railroad. Its hard to find RTR models.
