Simple question , I hope. I have a large collection of Athearn locomotives with no handrails. My question is this, can the new Athearn plastic handrails fit on the old Athearn shells?

From what I have seen, no they wont. However, give Horizon hobby a call, they do have the old metal handrails in stock for many of the older blue box era engines. Worth a try and trust me, they hold up much better than this new scale, IE fragile, plastic stuff. Mike
Joe,The new handrails will work on the GP38-2,GP40-2 and the GP50 as well as the Blue Box RTR SD40-2.
Not sure about the SW1500 handrails.
