Athearn motor conversion

I’m ready to install an Aline motor in an Athearn P42. I have the appropriate cradle and the Loctite RC-609 Retaining Compound to attach the flywheels to the motor shafts. My question is how to properly open this little adhesive container, I’ve not seen one like it before. See attached pic.

Fixed your link.

Aren’t there instructions on the back of the packaging? Nealry every type of product packaged that way has instructions somewhere on how to open it.

For most of the products I’ve used that are in an applicator of that type, you clip off the top of the spout.

John, that is the same type of glue container used in rear view mirror repair kits. All you have to do is cut the top off of the neck with a pair side cutters or small scissors, but don’t let the top go flying-you will need the small point that is inside that part to pierce the neck of the adhesive tube. Make sure you have everything ready to assemble, there is not much glue in that tube, and you can’t put the top back on to save it for later. Hope this helps.

While we are on the subject will Loctite blue or red work for the same purpose?

What does the remotored A Line motor do “better” than the stock motor ?
