i am trying to locate some parts for a few athearn heavyweight passenger car kits that i bought at the model railroad flea market in mt pleasant michigan sunday march 25, 2012, i tried seeing if athearn has the needed parts in stock but most are not available. does anyone know of any hobby shops which carry parts for athearn heavyweight passenger kits. or perhaps a model railroader has some parts they dont need.
What kind of parts? Trucks and wheels can be obtained from many sources as can couplers, etc?

Richard, basically i need pretty much everything for the 3 atheearn heavyweight passenger cars i bought at the march 25th train show at central michigan university. i need the screws, washers, brakewheels, weights, trucks and bodies. the people i bought the two coaches and observation from did a hatchet job on the cars like gluing windows to the car bodies and leaving screws off one of the coaches. may just use them as parts source.
I can understand things like screws and brakewheels, and even trucks, but you need bodies also? I’m afraid to ask what you actually got for the money. [*-)]
I am wondering the same thing. About the only thing left is the frame itself.
What road name are you looking for on the car body?
Are the trucks missing or are they just damaged?
