I know Athearn has released the HO scale “R”&“B” series Mack trucks. Every web site I went to has them “SOLD OUT”. anybody got an idea where I can find them?
As with most athearn releases they are a limited run.I’d look at e-bay and local train shows. your secondary market is likely your best bet.Or look at sylvain models they make a ton of cars and truck models in HO. And imho they are a much better quality product. Certainly worth a look. Happy hunting. Rob

You must not be on Athearn mailing list. They sent this out today.
QUOTE:
Greetings.
This is about some of our new Mack trucks. Some of our new Macks sold so
fast that we were caught by surprise. We built as many (actually more)
as were ordered before our order cut-off date.
We quickly scheduled a re-run of the most popular units, and now we find
that some of THESE are already over-sold and they haven’t even arrived here
yet.
So. Here’s what we are going to do on these specific Mack trucks. On the
trucks listed below, we will have ANOTHER production run late this summer,
to arrive in stores about late August.
If you want any of these really terrific looking trucks, and you haven’t
been able to get them, ask your favorite retailer to order them from Horizon
NOW, so we can get a realistic estimate of how many you all really need.
We’ll total up the numbers in late June.
These are the Mack truck versions that this applies to:
Mack ‘B’ Cement Trucks
93161 Cleveland
93162 Erie Builders
93163 Pre Mix
93164 Readymix
93165 Tews
Mack ‘B’ Tractor-Trailers
93181 All State
93182 Carolina
93183 Eastern
93184 Southern Pacific
93185 Watkins
If you want any of the Mack trucks listed above, and you can’t find them in
stores, tell your favorite store to get them ordered. We’ll do the rest.
That’s it for today.
The folks at Athearn Trains

Thank you for the response trolleyboy and ericsp, the old saying holds up to be true,“you snooze, you lose”.
Same thing happened to the Fords (member)? Now, everyone has them in stock. I think we just need to be patient.
