Athearn RTR SD40T-2

I have many of these SD40T-2 in UP and SantaFe colors ; unfortunately none of these have MU cables or cut levers. But they have lots of piping to be placed on the fuel tank.

I didn’t know Athearn painted the SD40T-2 in Santa Fe. It seems it was those tunnel motors produced during mid to late last year have been having more details applied to the pilots. Namely improved snow plows, MU cables and cut levers.

The one odd thing is that the SD45T-2 (SP) was released much later than many of these, and costs $20 more and yet has no MU cables or cut levers.

My mistake: my SantaFe units are SD40-2, not Ts. They were on the same shelf along with UP units. Sorry about the confusion. Anyway none of them have cut levers.
