Athearn Santa Fe sd75 numbering

Ok i have been rebuilding a athearn genisis sd75 Santa few and i need too number it, What are the common prototype numbering for the santa fe sd75’s. And do you know of any places that would sale the numbering in Ho scale?

Woodland Scenics sells dry transfer decals that you can use. I bought some from Wholesale Trains.

The best answer for how/where to put the numbers, is to Google the “Sante Fe SD75” and look at some pictures.

Ok that will work i found some common numbering but what decal set should i use theres like hundreds of them.

After looking at some pictures, it looks like SF uses both the Gothic and Roman numerals for their locos. Gothic is more of a line type, where Roman is more curvaceous- hard to describe- more fancy would be the word.

You will also need yellow and red numbers.

The package with white Gothic numbers is DT512. What you might want to do is use that number for reference in helping you obtain the right ones.

I can help you too, but it will take awhile.

you can if you want dont mind.

Here are the numbers/colors you will need. The Font choice is up to you.

WDS704 Red Roman Numerals

WDS705 Yellow Roman Numerals

WDS723 Red Gothic Numerals

WDS724 Yellow Gothic Numbers

The price is $3.63 each, plus tax, depending on where you live, and shipping is around $9.00, if you are getting it from Wholesale trains. I am not trying to advertise, or trying to thwart you over to their business. Buy them from whoever you choose.

Each sheet contains numbers in sizes of 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 5/16".

Ok thanks alot for the help
