Wow, that almost makes me want to go back to HO scale. VERY impressive model, and your brief review was to the point.
Thanks!
Joshua
It is a great buy for the money. The locomotive is a very smooth runner
I agree, Athearn has really outdone themselves with this. I will be getting the river street rambler version of this model. well thats all i have to say so ill be going now, zach out.
I agree, Athearn has really outdone themselves, and your review was great as well, great job.
I was lucky to find just one of these beautifully detailed diesels on my local hobby shop shelf. Another well done Athearn engine!
I might be missing something very obvious but could someone fill me in on how to get the shell off to get to put a decoder in. The engine is beautiful and I don’t want to damage it and I really want to run it but it needs a decoder before I can run it on my layout.
Thanks
Andrew
To pop the shell of the SW1500 insert a screwdriver right above the fuel tank and twist
I picked up the NS version last summer. I am very impressed with its level of detail. A very sharp switcher.
It´s a great model but a bit noisy. Need more weight!
