Well it looks like they are using the same drive as the TURBINE and that is a waste of time and money, unless they start making the GP-9’s in both A’s and B’s to go with them. That is because that drive can not pull a protro-type looking train of at least 40 stock cars or reefers.

I had the same thoughts. Both the original and veranda models pull at least 40 cars around our club layout. All of the freight cars have Intermountain metal wheels. I would like to see all of the trucks powered myself, but I realize the binding issues with those types of drives. I was surprised how well the models run. They are sure better that the old brass models of years ago.
