Atlas 8-40CW

Looking to buy my first Atlas 8-40CW with DCC and Sound, any comments? Are these good products, worth the $'s or should I spend more and go for the Tower 55.

Any Atlas loco is a good product and worth every penny.

The Atlas Master “GOLD” series loco’s are great and worth every penny. Their is several other MRR’S at my club that have them. They are well detailed, sound great, run smooth. They sound way better then the BLI engines I have heard.

I own BLI and Atlas sound-equipped units, and Atlas is by far the better of the two.

Absolutely great model and the new one has several improvements over the first version that came out last year. One of the best is the improved sound including the compressor sounds. The new sunny bright LED’s are excellent also.
