Atlas and Kato

I think i may already know the answer, but do KATO and Atlas share the same drive? I just bought a Atlas SD24, and dont have a layout up, so i only get to run them at my friends house. I have some KATO’s and would like to run them with one another. Thanks,

A lot of ealy Atlas engines had Kato Drives…my 1st run GP7’s even have Kato on the trucks,then Atlas cloned the drive system. No wonder they run so sweetly!

Thanks for the answer. Boy i cant wait to run the SD24, one of the most detailed units i have. And thats saying that i have P2K and KATO, and Atlas topped those. A little on the light side, might have to add some weight to her.
