Here’s the results of my car carrier project. The main vehicle is the HO scale Atlas Car Carrier. I replaced the tractor with a Boley International truck, which I lowered, added Herpa beverage truck wheels and tires, to simulate the small wheels/tires of the 1:1 truck. The mirrors are from Plano and the decals are from Microscale and Walthers.
WOW what a nice looking truck!!! How long did it take you to complete? And when do you start to take orders??[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
That is REALLY sweet. I hope I can make my cheap Walmart ones look half as good.
Can you post a pic of it sitting next to a loco or a building so I can get a sence of scale?
Thanks for the Herpa tire hint. I need some more realistic looking wheels for mine.
That is awesome! So realistic looking! When will it carry cars?[:D]
Looks awsome!! Great job!! [:D]
Time wise, it was about two weekends, mainly waiting for the gloss trailer paint to dry. I spent about an hour sanding flash off of the trailer. The hardest part of the tractor, was getting the cab lowered, so the wheelwells would like up with the tires.
Thanks for the nice words!
Here some addtional pics showing it next to a HO 70T hopper by Con-Cor. I also threw a few cars on it.
Thanks for the picture looks great all those american muscle cars a Cobra and a Corvette.
