Hi,
Does anyone know how to define your benchwork? The scale is too small.
I figure out how to use the different track, but what good is it, if I can’t get the
benchwork correct.
Thanks
Chris

First, I found version 10 too buggy. It locked up on me a lot so I went back to version 8. In version 8, when you click “New” under “File” in the menu bar, you get a pop-up window asking you to define your benchwork. There are only 4 shapes to work with so you may need to be creative but it is useable. CLick the shape and then enter the appropriate measurements. You can also set what color the benck work should be. Hope this helps.
I have version 10 and it’s only locked up a couple times. There are several ways to create benchwork. First is when starting a new layout, you should get a menu that gives a choices of several designs where you just set the overall parameters. Within that menu there is also a choice called “draw other shape” which lets you draw the outline of the benchwork as a polygon. The second method us under Tools:Benchwork which gives you the same choices at the “draw other shape” menu. Finally, there is the menu Special:Create Benchwork which provides all the same options as the New menu.
Once you have the basic layout defined, you can use either the Tools or Special menus to add other sections of benchwork. To move them around and locate them, use Tools:Benchwork:Tag Benchwork to select a particular section and move or rotate it.
If the problem is too small to see due to the size of the room, you can use the View:Zoom commands to scale in and out.
Hope this helps.
