Atlas gold Hesitation

I have a Atlas Gold that no matter how much I clean the tracks or the wheels of the loco it runs fine for about a hour then starts to hesitates on start up any one know if there is a fine tune CV that might help I have reset it back to Factory a number of times

The hesitation is probably regulated throttle control and it’s on by default. Try turning it off.

I turn it off when doing switching at the club. If consisting leave RTC on and the loco’s will actually adjust to each other.

If using Decoder Pro, click on the BEMF tag and under Throttle Mode select standard throttle control.

Roadie,

Each time that you’ve cleaned your track, did you notice dirt on the rag? Or, does it come up clean? If it’s dirty then I suspect that your rolling stock wheels are fouling things up. You have to clean ALL wheels. Otherwise, you just contaminate your track again.

I have an Atlas Gold HH600/660 switcher. It is definitely more finicky about dirt than my other locomotives. As long as I keep the track clean, it’s happy. I also run all metal wheel sets on my rolling stock.
