I can order Atlas locos with no road number, marked No# on their website (not the undecorated). But I wonder if number decals are included (a couple of 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9) or must I buy them elsewhere?
I also saw on the Kato website that you can special order SD45 with different road numbers, interesting.
I have an Atlas SP B39-8 without a number and it didn’t come with decals, but I bought it secondhand off eBay so I suppose the original owner might have kept them (though I doubt it). Microscale decals are generally very accurate as far as I’ve been able to tell by looking at my own reference sources.
Never mind- i recieved my microscale illinois central decals today and it came with tiny little #'s for the # boards which i will never be able to apply as they are so small.
I just recieved a email from Atlas and they said that ‘we don’t sell decals, everything is painted on’, that was the answer on my question what the No# means.
Shellscale supplies decals for lit number boards. I’m not sure if the unnumbered Atlas boards are opaque or translucent. Hope someone can fill us in or has more experience with the Atlas.
