Atlas Model Railroad Co. HO scale EMD GP40-2(W)

Dear Santa…

I have a DCC sound one already and am very pleased. It is now one of my favourite engines. The horn in particular sounds so familiar to me in Canada. Way to go Atlas!

Thanks, Atlas, for doing a superb job on this uniquely Canadian prototype. Now how about a GMD 1?

I bought 5 of the Guilford units,2 with sound and 3 without. They are superb models as we have come to expect from Atlas.Well worth the wait.

DC model is too expensive. Whilst it works well cost will keep younger modelers from buying. An RS-1 in GTW livery (green/yellow) would be a treat.

This is a great model and Atlas really outdid themselves. Now that they have the W cab, my hope, and I’m sure other Canadian’s, is they possibly produce a SD40-2W or GP-38W…here is hoping!

Almost makes me wish I hadn’t back-dated to the 1950s. Thanks, Atlas!

nice but a bit complicated prefer not to use everthing with computor

Imprssive looking loco with great sound. didn’t realise the ability of the F9 function, will have to use in future.

I wish all my locomotives would run and sound like that one.

I would love get a hold of one of these locomotives!

Atlas has done it again! a budget priced locomotive for all Canadian HO modelers to enjoy! That Canadian cab is a rarity on the market! Good Job atlas!
I hope soon that the MR staff would give more new products free for us non-subscribers to view.

By the look of Atlas’s new GP40-2W,would be brilliant to operate. I have a Atlas(Kato) RSD4/5 in my collection, and on 1st time operating the unit, was pleasantly suprised by the unit performance and operation. So I do believe the GP40-2W would live up to my expectation as an excellent unit, for those whom model,Canadian National& Regional Railroads that acquired the units in question. Thank You.
