Anyone know what it might be?? Dave
It sounds like an early Geep.
It sounds like what dougal said, and early GP7 or GP9. Or mabye a late F-unit.
Sound like some E unit to me.
I think it sounds more like an FM- A Trainmaster, maybe?
It is definitely a two stroke, without a turbo, which narrows it down to EMD or FM.
Take a listen to these: http://www.dcctrains.com/products/soundtraxx_dsd150.htm

Any one got “Down Periscope” starring Kelsey Grammer? FM OP engines in that sub.
Anyone else? Dave
P.S. Yes, this is just a “bump” to get this topic back on page one.
Don’t know Nigel, but a bit of trivia for tune-up of Fairbanks engines: the upper crank leads the lower by 13 degrees.[:D][:D]
Over priced???
Just kidding, should be intresting to see in person. How ever I can’t make the show this year so I will have to wait to it is in the hobby shops.
