I am having a problem with atlas code 80 turnout On a straight run the steam loco lifts on the left side then derails at times the loco goes through but the tender enters the left curve even though the turnout is set to go straight Is there and help from someone

If it’s only that engine, check all the wheels are in gauge and that they are square with the axle. Also run your finger along each rail carefully. Where you feel a bump have a closer look and maybe a little work with a small file to reduce the bump. Also check nothing is lodged in the flangeways of the frog.

Do you have a switch machine, ground throw or some other method of keeping the points firm against the stock (outer) rails?
Are the points firm on the throwbar or do they wobble (a big problem on older Atlas C80 turnouts)?
Are the point rails even with the stock rails, or do the point rails stick up?
Are your wheels in gauge? Use a NMRA gauge to check. Sounds like they might be too wide.
