Good thing its taking me foever to build my first layout, DCC, signals and all. Otherwise I’d be a little torqued about the “announce one year deliver some other year” situation for the curved N Scale turnouts.
Hope the China situation, whatever it is, works itself out soon.

Atlas announced that the N-Scale Code 55 Curved Turnouts were shipping as of May 15, 2010. They are currently shown as in-stock at M.B. Klein.
It sure seems like the delays caused a lot of modelers to seek alternatives, because since these things arrived at MB Klein, I have heard nary a peep from anyone other than this thread. This is after months of loud complaining about their lack of availability. Of course, maybe everyone has “complaint burnout” and just ordered them without saying anything. [8D]

I’ve been checking the Atlas shipping date for months and its curious that they still don’t show an Atlas shipping date. Where’d you find their announcement?

Scroll about halfway down the page to the section labeled “Track Pieces Shipping as of 5/19/10.” Then scroll past the HO items until you get to the N Scale. There, you will find items #2058 and #2059, the curved turnouts.

They are in my hands now!
It’s been over a year between when they announced the curved turnouts for ordering and when I could actually order them. But that’s probably not that long given some of the stories I’ve heard here on the forums.
Long isolated frog, almost 2 inches.
Now, back to that long wiring and panel task. Will be installing the turnouts a couple of months from now the way its going.

That is the case with HO as well. Always shortages and waiting periods.
