Atlas N scale Trainman train set
This is my first time visiting the site and enjoyed it very much. I am alternating between “N” gauge and “HO” gauge, depending on the amount of space I have to work with. I have set up my “N” gauge in the living room window around our 3’ tree, and the cats love it. In fact they cannot let it alone and I am constantly re-railing the cars they could not keep their paws from.
I will visit this site as often as I am able as it does inspire me.
Would be helpful if the price was included.
Nice beard start, Cody.
Very nice starter set, and the roadbed track is a nice touch. The method of attaching power to the track, even though it’s fairly simple, is not as straightforward as some other sets, but the overall set quality is first rate.
Great first timer sets. Some may even prove to be off value to more experienced modelrailroaders willing to try other scales or starting with DCC.
Best feature in all presentations is the beautifull stereo sound in the leader! Wish that was downloadable. Beats any Windows sound.
GOOD POINT ON HAVING THE POWER PACK UNPLUGED when connecting the wires from track to power pack.
But should mention the power pack power switch should be off while putting on the engine & train cars .
Cody, I have been modeling N scale since the early seventies and still enjoy your videos and tech tips.
I am sure that you will bring a lot of other modelers into the hobby.
Thanks for your good work.
Great work team! The site is first class and a real plesure, this completely new dimension to ‘Model Railroader’ reflects great credit on you all. Cody’s office in particular is eagerly looked forward to and the humour is much appreciated. You are a natural Cody and don’t let anybody tell you different, but with the greatest respect and as a special favour to me, ditch the beard please. From across the pond a Happy Christmas and New Year everyone. Oh! the Atlas train set, fantastic value! If you plan to delete what you consider irrellevent, what about some sort of channel for general reader feedback!
A great way to let the novice modler know the different products that are avavible to them. Thanks for your input and shoeing the safe way in operating future railroaders.
Great starter video instruction for the beginner model railroader.
Cody.
Good job on showing just how easy it is to start running trains. Newcomers to the hobby and those who may be contemplating starting their own Railroad Empire can now see that they can be running trains in about 15 minutes. Of course, that depends on whether they bought an extra two or three hundred feet of track. LOL.
Walton, you can visit the Model Railroader Forum for any help that you may need in getting started or click on “Our Store” at the top of the page for any number of books that are available.
Al. Brown.
Love the train set, I model HO scale but may look at N scale for the future.
Cody does a very nice job. This is what we are asked about at shows. This type of message needs to be directed to grandparents. I suggest something along the line of a joint AARP commercial.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the Atlas N scale Trainman train set is $149.95.
Great job cody. Up and running in no time. Out of the box and
ready to run. Thats good for the new people who want to get into the hobby and not take to long to get it put together to start having some fun with the trains.
gooder
Once I found the video and got it going it was very good. Liked the track and enjoyed the train very much. I have N scale and HO my father gave me and now I am going to try to put the two together.
Enjoyed the young man do the demo we need more of it.
Very informative! Being one of those “new” train enthusiasts, the very basics are where I’d like to start. Thank you Cody and MRR!
I thought the set was easy to set up and the locomotive ran very quiet. I am thinking about changing to DCC. Can you tell me what decoder would fit the GP15-1?
Hello,
Regarding your question, a Digitrax DN163A2 or Train Control Systems ASD4 should work.
Have a good day.
