Atlas website was down yesterday but just checked and The HO Gensets have arrived according to Atlas’ website and show a shipping date to dealers of 9/28/10 …finally , they are here.
Only nearly 10 months late - not bad.

Wow. If I’m able to find one this will be the first DC loco I’ve bought since getting back into the hobby.
Does anyone have the right sound in a decoder yet or is it best to stick with straight DCC for now?
I’m just installing Function decoders in mine for now -as long as they will run with my other switchers, I’ll be content for now.
Currently, I’m not aware of any sound decoders available.

Do you have one? If so let’s see some pics?
Ugh, it’s about time!
Like you said, only 10 months late. NBD…
Hmm, ya it’s about time. I’ll probably pick one up, but just wait until they come out with a sound decoder for this before I can run it.
Hamltnblue…
Haven’t got mine yet -called the LHS sources I have reservations with and one had received their pick up notices … based on that timeline, i expect to get these in the next couple of weeks as they are shipped to the distributors and then to the dealers -since Atlas shows these to just have started shipping yesterday(9/28) I doubt if any of these will start showing up at dealers for another week or so.
Just have to keep waiting for now… at least we know there actually in the US now.

YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS [:D]
The owner of the hobby shop i reserved mine from is on vacation. He will be gone until the 18th so i got alittle time more to wait.
I just started another thread. Apparently you shouldn’t use these loco’s with an MRC Tech 6 power pack. Looks like you get realistic smoke if you do.
