Has anyone received one of these? How do they run/sound? I ordered one some time ago and have not received it. Looks like a long wait 
To my knowledge, the S2 has not actually hit the market yet. I have two undecorated units (non sound) on pre-order from Toy Train Heaven (since December 2012) and I monitor Atlas’ site for shipping updates, but nothing yet.
Sooner or later I wil see a charge on my credit card from TTH and they will show up. Not sure what the problem is (nary a word on whatever it is). I’ve seen the delivery estimates come and go. If they run like the other Atlas locomotives, including the Baldwin VO1000s, they’ll be worth the wait. I think Katos are better runners (than pretty much anything N scale), but Atlas is no slouch.
I have one on order but they are not due until September or October as I remember and looking at my order I believe that is correct. Doug
The original series should be arriving soon, according to Atlas, they’re being shipped to retailers as we speak. Well, maybe not as we speak, as it’s Sunday, but soon!
I see MB Klein has a few in stock, so hopefully we’ll see them soon.
