I just got a Atlas D-40C and I am having trouble programing the engine number of 6034 to the decoder. I have the Digitrax DCS 50 (Zepher). I know I can program this decoder to a 4 number adress because I have another D-40C that I purchaced years ago and it runs great under the adress 8698… any suggestions??? I have tryed to program it about 10 times now and it wont take. the jumper is in the correct spot and the switch it in the right location on the jumper. Thanks

The trick is in the CVs…

Is the decoder responding to 03?

Have you attempted to give it a 4 digit address yet?

If you have answered yes to both questions, then, through OPs mode programming, set CV 29=35 and you are golden.

Don’t you mean CV 29 = 34 for a normal direction of travel.

Sorry, yes, a typographical error.

CV 29=34 for DCC only, 28 speed steps, normal direction of travel…

And just in case…CV17=225 and CV18=250 for 8698.
