I use Right Track Software, available free as a download from http://www.Atlasrr.com To assist in laying out components and how it will look BEFORE laying the actual track, I print out the pieces of track full-size while running the RTS program. I then cut them out and lay them on the layout, making it easier to visualize before hand and see what will and won’t work. Shown are an Altas #6 and #4 turnout. They make great templates.
