On the early runs of the Atlas / Kato RS-1 / 3 / 11 engines - did they all use the exact same chassis ? I have an RS-3 and an RS-11 shell I want to use and have an opportunity to pick up a couple RS-1’s for a decent price and wondered if they will fit ?

RS-1 chassis was different. The RS-3 and RS-11 had the same chassis, which they also shared with the RSD4/5 and RSD12. The RSDs had 3 axle trucks.
The RS-1 was of similar construction to the GP7, in that everything below the top of the walkways was one casting. This was done to increase the wieght.
