Atlas Track. WTH?

Time to start the layout and everywhere I look Atlas track is backordered? Is there a shortage of this stuff? Is there another manufacturer that is recommended? Help!

Atlas changed its track manufacturer and has had some trouble in getting back into full supply particularly code 83. Be patient it will eventually show up. There was a recent thread on this issue.

They got in a whole container load of it, it should be arriving at dealers by now.

As Joe says this has been discussed in other threads.

I switched to ME for Flex and Peco for switches and couldn’t be happier.

What about their Code 80 N-scale flex track. M. B. Klein has had it listed as “To be restocked in 2013” for months.

Checking the Atlas website can probably tell you something about what they have in stock at their online shop…in fact, try this:

https://secure.atlasrr.com/mod1/items.asp?Cc=H990

It’ll tell you right next to the item if Atlas has it. You can order from your favorite track pusher.

Sandy disrupted both Atlas HQ and some of their incoming shipments. They should be past that now, but did indicate that not all item would be available immediately, just that production has resumed. Based in what I’ve heard, my guess is they will be getting caught up over the next few months.

I guess atlas N scale track will be here soon, I’d better decide my layout size before everybody buys it and I have to use C80.

As has been mentioned, we have changed production from one main factories to a number of other factories, and some of the changeover has taken longer than expected. We have been getting track in monthly since November, starting with the code 100 track. In fact, a container is due to arrive today as well. Not everything has been returned to production yet, but we do expect to get once cycle through the majority of our product line by mid-year.

We apologize for the delays, and appreciate your patience.
