I remember when the show first came out. I think it was billed as a city on wheels. As I recall it ran on double track. I also recall seeing the set for sale. It had about half mile of track. I only watched it a few times.

Sorry but this is a stinker of a tv movie about an atomic bomb on an out of control train.

**Gags…**Hurls dinner all over the floor…**staggers from the stinking carcass of the Atomic Train rotting away in the garbage.

This film should stay buried. It is that bad.

It’s almost as bad as Alien Express.

Abortion of a film.

The week that the movie came out there was an atomic train that went through Evansville, IN. I dont think it should be buried.

Yup once again Hollywood blew it…

Well, I don’t know about Hollywood, but I really get a kick out of the “Silver Bullit Love Train” in the Coor’s Light commercials. It’s a Deco Art Streamlined Steam train moving too fast to get a good look at any detail.

Dito!.. What movie has Hollywood made in the last ten or twelve years that they haven’t screwed up ?.

Not to be off topic, but I was kind of hoping that one of these days they’d do a remake of Creature From The Black Lagoon, Forbidden Planet and The Day The Earth Stood Still, but I already know if they do they’re more than likely going to be just as awful as all the others, so why even go to the trouble… ([V])

Ouch! We’ve been through this one (and Alien Express) before. I personally enjoyed seeing model trains in a movie.( I wish I got paid to build cheesy looking trains for Hollywood)[8D]

A whole lot, the 90’s we’re some of the best years for film since the end of the 70’s. And Atomic Train was a made for TV-movie.

I thought that commercial was cool the first weekend I saw it. Now that I’ve seen it at least half a dozen times during every single game this season, I’m pretty sick of it… Not only that, but it features the frickin’ New England Patriots! [xx(]

Okay, so there have been a few good ones in the mix. I guess I was refering more to the remakes than anything else.

Ah, yes–ATOMIC TRAIN, barreling out of the Rockies to devastate Denver. This, of course, assumes that Denver has suddenly re-located to British Columbia where the movie was filmed. Hey, guys, there IS a difference between the Colorado and Canadian Rockies, after all! But evidently the very bright execs at the TV-movie studios figure that, well–a mountain is a mountain.
Yah, sure!

There is just too much “OMG the train is gonna blow up the hwole city!!!” in the film.

Never mind the incorrect technical deetails.

“Fail Safe” was a positive nailbiting cliffhanger by comparision. Any of you around long enough to remember that film?

Pick up a copy of Under Seige 2, and while you’re at it, get Under Seige 1 too. Only the second is aboiut trains, but both are entertaining. The train wreck in 2 may be one of the best disaster sequences on film, along with the plane crash in Tommy Lee’s “Marshalls”. Passenger train, munitions train, one track, opposite directions, a big bridge, you do the math.

My apologies, my earlier post on this site was about a TV series not this movie. I did see this movie and it was a dud. Phil
