ATSF GP 60M drawings

I’m wondering if anyone has any info on ATSF’s GP 60M’s. I’m looking into building one and I’ve looked for drawings but I haven’t found any. If anyone has some or knows where I can get some (i.e. out of MR or Trains) I’d be grateful.

March 1993 Railroad Model Craftsman ( http://www.rrmodelcraftsman.com ) has drawings of many GP60 variants, including the GP60M. Also remember that Athearn released a GP60M a few years ago.

Just out of curiosity, what scale are you planning ro build one? Scratchbuilding locomotives always impressed me. I have always thought about doing this myself, but have never been that gutsy. Too bad there isn’t a way to get your hands on EMD drawings.

Well I had two models in mind one virtual for Auran Trainz Simulator 2006 and also an HO scale model (probably based off an Athearn drive if I can get the measurements).
Getting original EMD plans would be nice.

Michael Eby’s Trainiax is the best site for scale railroad drawings. http://trainiax.net/mescaleloco.htm

Here’s his Santa Fe GP60M http://trainiax.net/drawings/emd/emdgp60mdb.gif

Here’s your HO model:

Thanks a lot bwilcox it was right where you said it was. Also has plans on kitbashing a GP 60M. Yeah I knew Athearn made one already but the price is insane. I think I can make it for under that so I’ll give it a shot.

Here’s another alternative:
