ATSF No. 16

I have a clock that chimes different locomotives every hour. At 3 O’clock it a Santa Fe F-3 Red Warbonnet. The thing that puzzles me is the announcement: “Train 16, You’re clear outbound.” I know the Super Chief is No. 18 Chicagobound, so I assuming No. 16 is too. But what is it?

Santa Fe train 16 was the Texas Chief bound for Chicago.
