You are not going tp believe this! A NS freight stopped here for a while with an ex-Santa Fe GP60M as a trailing unit. Why I took note of it was because it was REPAINTED in Heritage II paint job, aka the ‘great pumkin’! I hate seeing these units being repainted to something less glamorous the the Red Warbonnet.[:(]
I like the warbonnet paint too. That being said the last couple of
GP60Ms I’ve seen were getting kind of a pinkish cast to the warbonnet so it is time to repaint them.
I have seen one ex-ATSF GP60M repainted into the H2 paintjob. That was the 143 in LaCrosse, WI a few years ago and I had the chance to check out the cab of the nice locomotive!
