It’s awful how they’ll squeeze you for every dollar. I see if you remodel the basement to a full “usefull” living space. Most of our studded walls are nothing more than elaborate benchwork and backdrop, Oh well, the city hall thing…
A note as to the insulated stud wall. If you live in a wet or damp area, insulate the walls with kraft face insulation if using fiberglas. Too many times, in all the years in the building trade, I have found that the use of Visqueen (poly) for the moisture barrier has allowed trapped moisture to condensate between the back of the DW and the poly causing mold or mildew. This is only apparent in wet locations and a below grade use. The kraft face still allows for some breathing. I know it seems easier on DWing basements to want to stand the sheets and only have to mud and tape the vertical factory tapers, but if you have an extremely wet or periodically get water, you should use waterproof “green board” for the bottom sheet. I still try to keep any board up off the concrete about 1/2". Scraps of 1/2" ply or the like will do the trick.
