Well here it is!!! [ a lot of time and energy spent on this remake of the Fox and the Hunter] [took a while to get the camera right and still could not figure out how to cut off flash so you can see the fuse burning on the dynamite]
Chief, it came out great and you deserve it for keeping this bunch both entertained and under control. It really was a team effort brought together with Doug’s resourcefulness and Roy’s skills.
Chief, thanks for the photos. Roy deserves all the credit for building this thing. I’m glad that you liked it. I love your new screened porch. Great for keeping the skeeters at bay. All you need now is a swing. Happy days!
It was all good fun. I will let some of the other guys fill you in on the stats, but this started months ago and involved hundreds of e-mails. Even better is with the big e-mail distribution list we had running, no one accidentally used one with your address and spilled the beans on this little caper!
So here is some video for those wanting to see more:
A close up of the sneaky beaver and dynamite - note the fuse which is made of fiber optics appears to be sparking. This element was the Pièce de résistance !
CHIEF … you were the reason when I first came to the CTT forum that I stayed … especially the coffee pot . I was overjoyed to once again join in on a present and tribute buddy . I was new and dumb about O scale and you helped me extremely with great advice and patience with kindness . Thank YOU buddy …
Well, Miss Edna and the gang thought it was great. Thanks all. Only thing better would have been Buckeye in a Yankee uniform crawling out of the hole and me shooting. [:-^] Not really but that should get some conversation going. Hey, gives me an idea. Miss Edna has a fox and the hunter. HUMMM. [(-D]
Chief…Glad you like it!!! There were some other ideas floated around, but this was the hands down winner. It has been 6 years since you started the pot and I remember some days that there were maybe 3 or 4 postings until you did the CTT tour of the nation to meet and greet. I assume that many of the participents have not met you, so I would suggest signing up with Pro Mariner for another tour of the nation. [(-D]
Buck up Laz!!! Yes, you guz in PA did not foresee the Chief getting the best of you , but due to the special high intensity training over the last four or five years, ya can handle the old geezer now like us guz in OHIO. [swg]
