I received your email, and attempted a reply but it did not go through. FOr some reason my domain is blocked by Verizon (geee I love those people, STILL refusing to offer me broadband).

I used yellow carpenter’s glue - I had a bad experience using liquid
nails on my test section. After 3 days under weight it STILL didn’t
stick. The yellow glue has worked great.
As for paint, I found a nice earthy brown in Home Depot’s OOPS pile - I
think the OOPS paints are only about $4 a gallon. Takes a long time
waiting til you find the right shade though. But it beats the cost of a
custom mixed gallon of paint. Anything brownish will work, it’s going to
get covered anyway. Just anything but pink!
As for Dana - yes, very familiar with them. I have to build me some
modified flat cars to haul the frames. The Reading Company Technical and
historical society has a nice string of frame flats they run on their
modular layout.
My father-in-law is a retired railroad guy too, Briefly worked for the
Reading (his father was a lifetime Reading employee), then Penn Central,
Conrail, and retired from NS after the buyout.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for your reply.
I’ll stop by Home Depot on the way to work and check out their paint dept.
