Since there seems to be a growing number of NCE users on the forum I thought I’d pass this along. It was mentioned in the NCE Yahoo Group. I have no affiliation with the product, but do intend on purchasing at least one.
Logic Rail Technologies has developed and is now selling a Fast Clock module for NCE systems. It will sync to the command station fastclock. It simply plugs into the control bus like a UTP and can be mounted in the fascia. It comes in a regular and large display. Go to the Logic Rail Technologies website for more info.
Best of all, both the large and the small units are cheaper than the Digitrax version.
I would think so since the PowerCab does have a system clock that can be set through the handheld. It is supposed to connect to the cab bus using cable like a UTP, so since you can connect a UTP to a PowerCab I don’t see why this would work also.
The LogicRail website does state that the FastClock will work with both PHP and PowerCab systems. I contacted Tony’s on Friday and spoke with Tony about ordering the FastClock. He said that they were expecting to receive them after the first of the year. I’ll order them then along with few more decoders.
I received the new Logic Rail Technologies NCE fast clock module in the mail the other day. It looks great, bigger than I expected. Time to hook it up and try it out.
I just attempted to make mine operational, but i only get “Co 1.0”. I cannot seem to get the time to show up. It seems simple enough to hook up and I do not understand what is going on here. I attempted to hook it up through the SB3, then from a panel downstreem from the SB3, but no luck.
If you have the NCE Power Pro, does’t it already have a fast clock? The instructions I have for my ProCab Radio throttle says that the Third Press of the PROG/ESC button is to set the Fast Clock.
Yes the powercab does have a clock but I am the only one who can see it. I installed the fascia mounted clock so the other operators can also see it. It now works but upon power up none of the cab 04p’s can be plugged in. Thats ok as they are only in use when someone else is here. The clock does continue to operate after I plug them back in.
