Several years ago (2000- 2007???), on PBS, I remember watching a lengthy (or it may have been in several parts) travelogue where a 30-ish fellow travelled on transcontinental trains across all of Australia, from Sydney thru the desert to Perth. Along the way, he stopped in various small towns, etc. but the essence of the show was centrered on the trains.
Does anyone recall the title of this show(s) and know if it is availaable on DVD?

You might mean the series that Scott McGregor made round about that time. He included side trips to Vietnam and New Zealand but covers all of Australia in the box set.
