auto loaders

Does anybody know where i can find 1 auto loading/unloading ramp for my auto factory or the plans for a scratchbuild one

Model Railroader, January 1978, page 57

This is admitedly picky but an auto plant would have a loading ramp not an unloading ramp

And there would be a difference?

And Walthers had a kit. I think it was :

Another one. the ioe in Model Railroader is rubber tired. This one is mounted on a flat car.

You didn’t mention what scale yoiu wanted. A proucer called Train-Cat makes etched brass kit for items LIKE this in N scale, although I don’t remember whether he has this specific item or not. He has finely detailed stuff like baseball bleachers and high tension transmission towers etc. Reachable online I think.

Hi trainman,

If you are a modern modeler you are looking for a Wilson’s Auto Ramp. The prototype manufacturer can be found here.

BTW, for others looking to scratch build, they also make other types of RR equipment that can be found on the site.

As mentioned before Walthers did make a kit. It’s out of stock and maybe discontinued. It comes up on e-bay from time to time. Also as mentioned there is a brass version of this as well. He has it in n right now. I ran into him at Amherst and he was showing the HO, I think he told me April but can remember for sure.
