Sorry I haven’t posted the shots I promised you from Boreas Pass. I’ll get to those soon. Meanwhile, here are some shots from the Loop on Saturday. This was the first time I had seen their new Shay in action. I forgot how much fun it was to witness a Shay in person! She sounded good working the grade and it’s nice to see the steam locomotive pulling a full 9 car train without an assist from the big diesel.

Thanks, CW! Since this is the newest steam loco in Colorado, I’ll probably be dedicating some more time to shooting her for the rest of her season this year and next year!
