Galesburg times are going to get better ( the beatings will continue till velocity improves) Intermodals, coal lds and mty’s and anything going from any Chicago road to KC,is not even allowed in the yard. Swtich crews on the main line ( unless its a coal train nearing its 3,000 mile AB inspection same for unit ore) is the way of the game here. WE try to get trains out on an on time basis but what do you expect with a poorly designed yard where three motors on three seperate leads can get trains togther but then on the North side of the yard ( heck not even that far) they come toa bottleneck and one or two of the three have to stop.
Now about spelling. if I can spell BNSF and any station to any staion ( example C.P. 1705 to xo Ottumwa on main track) then I guess I am doing ok. IC&E spells all stations on TW’s. Sometimes I wish BNSF did as I for the life of me couldnt find Hepner on the Barstow sub. Ebner is what the guy was trying to say.So live and learn.
