That is a great site. The guy is obviously committed to signals!

Someone needs to do a similar study on lines in the south and east.

Nice photos. I hope he had cab rides or permission for all of those “on track” shots he took. For all of you tazmanian devil fans, the photographer was facing south to catch a southbound moose.[xx(]

Thanks for sharing!

If I may suggest you ought to go just a further up to the diamond @ Colton as there is lots of interesting signaling there especially on the UPRR side. [:o)]

I suspect he took the pictures, from the rear of the train, of the signals they just passed. I say that because an aweful lot of em are show red aspect…or this is just an exceptionally busy run of track.

Really cool - “chased” part of the former SP Coast Line and found some spots I’ve been to. Wish I’d been further into railfanning while I was out there. The line runs right through Vandenberg AFB, where I spent better than a year.

Hope he doesn’t mind a link to this shot, which gives a glimpse of the old Coast Guard rescue boat station south of Honda Point. I was at the place several times - talk about a location!

I looked at almost every photo on his web site, and I am considering planning a rail trip there someday on the Starlight route…and I am hoping I can plan it so that we go by the ocean when the sun is setting.
