I am repainting a cab diesel (A & B Units) into B & M colors (Maroon and gold), and I have a questions:
- I have a model of a MEC F3A & B in Maroon and Gold; is the numbering of the B units between the two roads the same similar ? ( The MEC has the number in the middle of the three broad strips, in the center of loco body) I have not found any photos of B& M cab units (A & B) that show a number on the "B"unit - except one in McGinnis blue with the locomotive # ( i.e., 4266, I think) number at the after end of the body). Perhaps B & M did not number their “B” units at all? ( I have seen at least one picture where there was no number painted on the sides of either the A or B unit - in the NERAIL achives for 1950 or 1951)
I have a good photo of the A unit, I want to get the B unit detail regarding numbering correct if I can.
