MRC has a new DCC system. I saw the ad on the back of Model Railroader Magazine so i checked it out. It seems to be a good system for a resonable price. [$ 200ish]
I am just wondering if anyone has one???[:)][:p][:)][:p][:)][:p][:)][:p][:)][:p]
Also which dcc decoders are compadable with MRC’s DCC System?
IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO PLEASE SHARE!!![:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
All NMRA compliant dcc decoders will work with the prodigy DCC system. It’s downsides are that it can only hold 32 addresses or 32 locomotives. It is also limited on functions, like sound and power unless you buy an extra power source. They also now come with a dispatcher hand held unit to control switches and other non loco functions. It also does not use a phone jack to make a connection so you can’t just buy a cheap phonejack from radioshack to add on more ports.
I know that seems bad but if your like me most of those features aren’t needed. I have one on order and in a couple weeks when it arrives in my hands I will tell you how I like it.

Hold the order guy. MRC is about to release their new Advanced Prodigy System, August by most accounts. It will handle 4 didgit loco address, CV features for decoder setup, and numerous handhelds if needed. But at the same time be simple to use. Check out the review at tonys…

read the review. Seems like a nice system. That seems to be the problem once you get the latest and greatest something new comes out. Hopefully my LHS hasn’t ordered yet so I can cancel the order and get the new one when it comes out. I’ll be taking another trip to the LHS. You don’t have to twist my arm to do that.
