Anyone have photos or info about the B&O railroad, particularly the Maryland Area between 1957 to 1963. The museum I work at will be doing some scenery updates on our layout, and we could use some Ideas. Plus, I would like to learn more about the B&O.[?][:-^]

I’m not THAT old, but from what the old guys told me of that time, the passenger trains were still first rate; the older main line freight engines were, at times, in tatters (loco failures were not uncommon); the classic B&O cars such as wagon tops were still in common use. By 1970, (I’ve likened it to entering a room after a pipe smoker had left…there were still traces of the aroma) there were still traces of the class that was B&O. It was all swept away by Chessie and the 'SX thing… There have been several color books on the B&O. You ought to be able to find a few old railroaders in Eeltown, and I haven’t met any railroaders yet who don’t want to talk. They have knowledge and memories that will die with them, unless someone collects it. Maybe some recorded “history” from the oldtimers would help your museum, too.
Check out charles roberts books West end and East end.they have some good shots for you.
