The B&O along with the LV were granted access to NY Penn Station by the USRA in 1917. The PRR kicked the B&O out in 1926. The LV stayed till the end of their passenger service in 1961. Question- I have seen pictures of LV equipment at Sunnyside, but I don’t recall ever seeing any pictures of B&O equipment being serviced there. Anyone seen any or know where to look?
In getting access to Penn Station, I don’t know that it also included servicing facilities at Sunnyside. PRR would have fought it and if required to make the facilities available would have set a high user fee. B&O under Daniel Willard watched its nickels and dimes close.
