Bachman 44 ton Coupler

I have an older, one of the first, Bachman 44-ton engines I am finally assmebling, but the coupler set up is out of the norm. I was thinking Model Railroader had an article on this 10 or so years ago, but I can’t find it. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Thanks, forgot about that (getting old) now all I have to do is find the April issue of MR.

It has a nice review and description on how to replace the horn hook coupler witha Kadee #5.
