Bachman and Lionel Daylight Flyer--Main Driver Problems

I have five Daylight Flyer locos, they all have the same problem, the driver where it goes on the geared axle is cracked thus it throws the alignment of the axle and outside arm out. The locos all have the skippity hop and hitch syndrome. Is there a kit to repair this problem or do I just try and superglue them in place. Superglue restricts you from being able to dismantle if neccessary. Any help would be appreciated.

I own two of these engines myself and both have exactly the same problem. It’s really too bad because they are very nice and I would like to run one on my layout. I think that’s it’s a general flaw in the design. I’m not sure what to do about it. I would recommend posting this question in the Model Railroader forums where you’ll certainly get much more and better responses. Maybe someone can help us.
