I have a new Bachman GP38-2 with DCC on board and can not for the life of me figure out how to remove the body shell and can not find anything on Bachmans site to assist?? anyone know the secret>??
You do not have to remove the couplers. They are attached to the body shell. Remove the fuel tank by gently prying it up with a flat point screwdriver. You will see two small black screws, one at the rear (engineers side) and one at the front (firemans side). Remove these and you can pull the shell off. The front or rear of the frame may catch on the couplers. Gently pry it up with a screwdriver and the shell will come off.
thanks… man the fuel tank is a snug fit… didnt think it was a separate piece at first
Not a problem. I had to look on mine to make sure I had it right. Been a while since I had it apart. The tank is a very tight fit.
Once you have the parts diagram off of the site it does not get any easier
