bachman ho spectrum k4 4-6-2 and 4-8-2 problems

the k4 is a little noisy, appears to be motor or maybe gear noise, never had it apart to work on it, always was that way. not run all that much but would like it quieter. what’s been your experience?

4-8-2, took to the club and four driver pick-up wipers stubbed their toes on something(s) and soon were sticking almost straight down = no pick-up. they’re not the easiest thing to get right again, but wonder if anyone else had this happen. Or it could have even been the foam wrap it sits on in my carry tote, but I can’t see it catching there. I’ll have to watch at the club to see where it might be catching. also, wondering of anyone else experienced this.

I had a problem just like that

I think it was a bad assembly from the bauchmann

try to remove the wheels and use a needle nose to bend them back

if not send it back for repair there good like that

K-4, it depends if was an earl one or later, as for the other one it was probably the layout as some have very lack standards of maintenance.
