Bachman spectrum controller

I purchased a bachman spectrum controller when i purchase my first set back in april, since then i have become quite advanced in my techniques, i ran into a very strange problem tonight that i cant explan, only thing i can route it back to is the controller, im in the process of building my switching layout, and i have my runaround track set up, i hooked up two powered feeders to it, and put one of my atlas h16z on the track, i hooked up the power pack and turned it on and much to my suprise there was no power! Its wierd cauz three hours ago it was working fine, whatever life sucks, anyone know if power packs just go like that or would i of noticed any type of change over the past few days,

thanks tim

also any reccommendations for a power pack?

Test the output of the power pack with a lght bulb or meter, to see if it is working. Disconnect it from the track first. If not, then you may need a replacement.

It could also be that in connecting your feeds to the track you have caused a short circuit, and that the circuit breaker in the pack has tripped . They normally will reset themselves, but if the wiring is still connected they will trip coninuously. Try disconnecting the last feed wire to see if things work.

FundyNorthern is correct. You stated two feeder wires so I suspect you may have the polarity backwards on the run around track. Anyhow, for a power pack, in three letters MRC can’t be beat in my book. Ken
