I know Spectrums are hit and miss ect. But for any one out there who has one that squeeks -and slows down when it happens; I have a simple fix.
I called Bachman and they said to put oil on either side of the motor mount. Confused by that I took apart the enitre thing with the exception of the trucks and got into the motor area and put in some plastic safe grease. upon putting the frame back together the screw on the top of the frame did not line up easily. You can either tool down the plastic fitting that goes through the frame or leave it out completely, -which is what I did. I’m not sure which of these two things fixed the problem, but the squeek is gone at all speeds and now the SD 45 runs very quietly and smooth.
